Dear Friends,

Over the years, one of the greatest gifts we have received from Lotus Network is getting to know so many extraordinary women. We have heard their stories, learned about talents we never knew they had, and discovered parts of their lives that might never come up in an ordinary conversation.

It continues to remind us how much there is to discover about one another when we take the time to show up.

And showing up is something we have been thinking about lately.

We know how easy it is to make a commitment and then, when the day arrives, reconsider. We do it too. We are tired. Our day became busier than expected. Staying home suddenly sounds pretty good.

But we have also learned that some of the experiences we are happiest we didn’t miss happened because we made the decision to go.

That is why we hope you will join us on Saturday, September 26, for the Lotus Network Creative Exhibition at the Posner Center.

We are especially proud of this event because it represents so much of what we want Lotus Network to be: a place where women can share parts of themselves, connect with one another, try something different, and perhaps leave inspired.

And make no mistake, this is not a craft show.

It is an exhibition filled with the work of incredibly talented women. Painting, sculpture, needlepoint, fiber art, books, and so much more. It will truly be a feast for your eyes.

But what makes our exhibition different is that we want you to see more than the work. We want you to know something about the woman who created it.

Some of our creatives sell their work. Many do not. Some discovered their creativity later in life. Some have been creating for years simply for the joy it brings them or to make something special for people they love.

Behind every piece is a woman. And behind every woman is a story.

Perhaps she began creating during a difficult time in life. Perhaps someone encouraged her to try something new. Perhaps creativity has always been her quiet place. Or perhaps she simply found something that makes her happy and decided to keep going.

Come meet her. Ask her why she creates. Find out how she got started. Listen to what creating has brought to her life.

You may leave thinking about something you once loved doing. You may be inspired to try something completely new. Or you may simply leave having met a woman you never would have known otherwise.
That is connection. And to us, that is Lotus Network.

So make the commitment. Bring a friend. Come spend a few hours with us.

For these talented women. For one another. And maybe even for yourself.
