Join Lotus Network for a free, refreshing snowshoe walk!
Join us on February 25th for a beautiful weekend winter walk through the pristine South Valley Park South Trailhead in Littleton, CO. This walk will be guided by Kelly Devereux, Susan Lanzer, and Benny Samuels.
South Valley Park has dramatic red sandstone spires and stunning views of craggy outcroppings. The expansive valley near the neighborhood of Ken Caryl is enclosed on its eastern side by the exposed red rock formations of the hogback and the green foothills to the west. Views to the south are incredible, making South Valley Park especially enchanting when covered in a blanket of snow.
TOUR DETAILS:
The trail is a moderately flat, 3-mile loop with beautiful rock formations. There are two entrances to the trail. We will be meeting at the South Trailhead entrance.
If there is fresh snow, bring snowshoes and poles. (We will have a few extra snowshoes. If you would like to rent some, stop by REI or Christy Sports in Cherry Creek.) Slip-on traction spikes or Yaktrax will work better if the snow is packed and icy. As we get closer to the walk date, we will have more information as to weather conditions and best attire.
There is no charge for this event; simply RSVP by completing the form below. A confirmation email with parking details and directions will be sent to the email address you provide. Fill out the form once for yourself and once for every guest you intend to bring.
