Meet Nancy Sharp

Nancy Sharp holds a Masters of Fine Arts in creative nonfiction from Goucher College and is a certified instructor in guided autobiography. Nancy’s prize-winning, bestselling memoir Both Sides Now: A True Story of Love, Loss, and Bold Living is an unforgettable portrait of the surprising turns life takes and the resilience Nancy summoned in order to keep stepping forward.

Nancy is also the author of the picture book Because the Sky is Everywhere. Her work has been published in several essay anthologies and in The New York Times, Next Avenue, The Huffington Post, Kate Couric’s Wake-Up Call, journals for the American Academy of Psychotherapists, the University of Colorado Hospital’s Center for Bioethics and the Humanities, and elsewhere. Because she is passionate about helping others leave their mark in the world, Nancy teaches guided autobiography classes online called “Tell Your Resilient Story”.

As a sought-after keynote speaker and trainer focused on resilience, Nancy has presented to hundreds of business and groups nationwide, including: Centura Health, The New York Life Insurance Company, Livestrong Foundation, the State of Colorado, Lincoln Financial, Dallas Bar Association, and New York’s 92nd Street Y, among others.
