Debra Fine

Denver’s own Debra Fine, former engineer, is the author of the bestselling book, The Fine Art of Small Talk: How to Start a Conversation, Keep It Going, Build Networking Skills—and Leave a Positive Impression, published as a newly revised second edition by Hachette in 2023 and translated and published in over two dozen countries across the globe.

A 25+ year member of the National Speakers Association Fine presents on stage and virtually as a keynote speaker and trainer to hundreds of audiences around the world that include National Electrical Contractors Association, Google, Iowa Bankers Association, American Bar Association, Hyatt Hotels, NASA, and JPMorgan Chase. Debra’s recent media appearances include The Today Show, NPR Morning Edition, the New York Times, Fox Business News, New York Times, and CNN.

A 30-year member of Rotary Club Denver Southeast, Debra served as President during the 2011-2012 year, along with serving two terms on the Rocky Mountain Anti-Defamation League Board. Debra and her husband Steve Tilliss enjoy spending time with their 4 adult children and spouses, along with beyond precious grandchildren when they are not bicycling around the globe.
